REDUCING FOOD LOSS AND WASTE REQUIRES A JOINT RESPONSE!

Experts, food business operators, and decision makers from Europe and Central Asia gather in Istanbul to discuss solutions to food loss and waste…

FAO, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye, the Economic Cooperation Organization Regional Coordination Centre for Food Security (ECO-RCCFS), and with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of The Netherlands, is organizing the Regional Conference on Food Loss and Waste in Europe and Central Asia, on 5 – 6 October 2022.

The conference has the focus on identifying essential elements of enabling environments and tools, including legislative and business innovations, marketing strategies, and practical interventions that support the reduction of food loss and waste and the transition to sustainable food value chains.

The conference will be a two-day hybrid event. It will take place in Istanbul, Türkiye, with the possibility to participate virtually.
