The industrialist made an annotation; raw milk producer will receive 7.5 liras in net!
Despite the opposition of the industrialists, an important decision was made about the raw milk recommendation sales price at the National Dairy Council (USK) Board of Directors meeting.
The USK Board of Directors had determined the recommended sale price of chilled raw milk as 7.50 TL/Litre, effective as of 15 May 2022. However, there were complaints that this price was not in the hands of the producer for raw milk purchases and calls were made to re-determine the milk price.
Raw milk recommendation price decision from USK…
Among these requests, the following statement was made regarding the decision taken at the USK Board of Directors, which reconvened:
“To be effective as of October 1, 2022; It was decided by majority of votes that the recommendation price of raw cow’s milk with 3.6% fat and 3.2% protein content (excluding raw milk support premium) would be net 7.50 TL to the producer.
In addition, if the cooling, transportation and other current expenses are covered by the producer, it was decided by a majority of votes to pay the producer separately.
Representatives of the Industrialists Sub-Group in the National Dairy Council Executive Board annotated the said decision and 1 member abstained.”
