Malatya Commodity Exchange Chairman Ramazan Özcan stated to reporters that 347 million dollars were obtained from apricot exports last year, surpassing last year’s figure in 11 months of this year.
“We expect the export figures of December well, we will have reached 400 million dollars of dried apricot exports by the end of this year,” Özcan said.
Expressing that November exports and the income obtained are pleasing, Özcan added, “In November, we achieved an income of 49 million 844 thousand dollars in return for the export of 9 thousand 181 tonnes of dried apricots. Compared to November of last year, the amount of exports and income increased. Dried apricots are currently trading more than we expected. We are happy for that.”
