In the last harvest event of the “Volunteer Final Harvest Project”, which aims to reduce loss and waste in fresh fruit and vegetable products, the persimmon (apple of paradise), left in the field by the producers, was collected from the garden by volunteers and turned into a feast of taste at the tables of those in need.
The last harvest event of the “Volunteer Final Harvest Project”, executed by the Konak Agriculture and Forestry District Directorate, in which Aegean Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Exporters’ Association, Spor Toto Club Presidency and International Drop Volunteers Association take part as partners, held in the Bademli quarter of Ödemiş district.
Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Deputy General Director of Food and Control Selman Ayaz, Deputy General Director of EU and Foreign Relations Ahmet Volkan Güngören, Deputy Director of İzmir Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Fatih Kılıç, Konak Agriculture and Forestry District Manager Ruhşan Özdemir Çiftçi, Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association Board Member Hüseyin Vural Güleç, Ödemiş Agriculture and Forestry District Director Ömer Faruk Tutar and volunteer university students from all over Turkey attended the event.
