Council of State stopped the regulation on mining activities in olive groves!
It has been reported that the Council of State has stopped the execution of the regulation amendment that will enable mining activities in olive groves.
The 8th Chamber of the Council of State has completed its examination of the regulation amendment and has decided to stay the execution of the regulation until it decides on the merits of the case.
The decision, which is at the writing stage, was given on the grounds that the regulation contains provisions contrary to the Olive Growing Law No. 3573 and the public interest.
After this development, mining activities will not be carried out in the olive fields, as the regulation cannot be implemented until the case is decided on the merits.
