JAK ESKİNAZİ: 2022 WILL BE A GOLDEN YEAR FOR AEGEAN EXPORTERS

Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) increased its exports by 26 percent in 2021 and achieved an export of 16 billion 325 million dollars. While 11 of the 12 exporters’ Associations scaled up their exports compared to 2020, one Association lagged behind its performance last year.

Aegean Exporters’ Associations, at the 2021 export performance evaluation meeting, it was emphasized that export is the only branch of the Turkish economy to hold on.

The Aegean exporters said that they are ready to do their part in order to maintain the success of 2021 in 2022 too and they gave the message to make 2022 the “Golden Year”.

Aegean Exporters’ Associations Coordinator Chair Jak Eskinazi said, “In 2021, when Turkey has surpassed its 2023 target in the Medium Term Economic Programme by exporting 225 billion dollars; Exports of the Aegean Region soared by 29 percent to 28 billion 158 million dollars.”

“More than 10 thousand of our companies contributed to this export in the Aegean Region. The number of companies exporting from EİB rose to 6,644 in 2021. We have gained 1,489 new members to the Aegean Exporters’ Associations in 2021,” Eskinazi added.
