Young people to be brought to the Agricultural Sector with Third Generation Agricultural Entrepreneurship…
The increase in the average age in the agricultural sector with each passing day stands out as one of the biggest problems in front of sustainability in the agricultural sector.
Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB) is implementing the “Third Generation Agricultural Entrepreneurship Training Programme” to bring young people into the agricultural sector.
The opening meeting of the “Third Generation Agricultural Entrepreneurship Training Programme” was hosted by Hayrettin Uçak, Chairperson of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association.
The opening meeting was attended by Cahit Doğan Yağcı, Chaiperson of Aegean Furniture Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association, Cengiz Balık, Vice Chair of Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, Board members Sadık Demircan, H. Vural Güleç, Türkmen Türkmenoğlu, Mehmet Kırıcı and Audit Board Member Aydın Yıldırım.
EYMSİB Hayrettin Uçak said, “We believe that you will carry our country’s agriculture to a higher level with the work our young people will do and we want you to know that we trust you. Our country has a huge potential with 38,000 hectares of agricultural land including meadow and pasture land and an annual production of 57 million tonnes of fruit and vegetables. Our agricultural sector needs the energy of the new generation to use this potential more efficiently, increase our exports and find new markets.”
“In the Voluntary Final Harvest Project, which we carried out with the participation of young people in 2021 with the Konak District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, we saw the light in the eyes of our young people and their perseverance,” he added…
