Stating that they broke export records in many product groups in the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic and brought 1 billion 330 million dollars of foreign currency to Türkiye with an export increase of 7 percent, Hayrettin Uçak, Head of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB), expressed that they are happy and proud to reach the highest export level in the history of the Republic in 2023.
Sharing the information that Türkiye’s exports of fresh fruit and vegetable and fruit and vegetable products reached 5.9 billion dollars and that 23 percent of these exports were made by the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, Uçak said: “Our prominent products were dried tomatoes with 160 million dollars, pickled peppers with 141 million dollars, fruit juices with 124 million dollars, gherkin pickles with 110 million dollars, fresh tomatoes with 70 million dollars, cherries with 49 million dollars and fresh grapes with 42 million dollars. We completed the year with export records in many of these products.”
Uçak also pointed out that 805 companies contributed to the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association’s exports of 1 billion 330 million dollars in 2023.
