Hayrettin Uçak: We sent tomato paste to 115 countries
Hayrettin Uçak, Chairperson of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, said that tomato paste, which is the second largest item in their tomato and its products exports with a share of 157 million dollars, was exported to 115 countries.
“In 2020, tomato paste was sent to Iraq the most with 94 million dollars. Our exports rose 92 percent to Germany, which is among the top 5 countries, 26 percent to Saudi Arabia and 11 percent to the USA,” Hayrettin Uçak added.
“Among the markets with marginal increases; The Netherlands with 192 percent, Malaysia with 295 percent, France with 189 percent, Israel with 74 percent and Belgium with 225 percent. We also achieved significant increases in Oman, Italy and Austria markets,” Hayrettin Uçak concluded…
