“While our fresh fruit and vegetable exports surged by 55 percent from 32 million dollars to 50 million dollars, our exports of fruit and vegetable products surged from 160 million dollars to 170 million dollars with a 7 percent development,” he said.

Pointing out that they are the leading sector among the food sectors exporting to Germany from the Aegean Region, he added, “In order to maintain this position, we will continue to produce and export with our projects that prioritise food safety. We will also continue our marketing efforts to strengthen our position in markets with high purchasing power such as Germany in order to turn the 60 million tonnes of fruit and vegetables produced by Türkiye into added value.”
