HAYRETTIN UCAK: TURKISH GRAPE REACHES WORLD TABLES WITHOUT RESIDUE!

Manisa province, which is in the first place by dominating the annual average of 4 million tonnes of grape production in Türkiye, produces residue-free.

Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB) Chair Hayrettin Uçak said that Manisa province is the first place that comes to mind when it comes to fresh grape production in the world and in Türkiye.

“We have been working meticulously for many years in cooperation with our stakeholders for the termination of pesticide use and residue-free production by informing our farmers, with our R&D activities for quality and efficiency in grapes, which we are in the first place in production and export across the world,” he said.

“We are striving to find the most valuable place both in our country’s market and in the international arena and to ensure that all our producers are rewarded for their efforts. By exporting 224 thousand tonnes of table grapes across the country in 2022, we earned 176 million dollars in foreign currency for our country,” he added.

“With sustainability-oriented projects, we aim to boost our exports of seedless raisins, fresh grapes, wine, molasses, vine leaves, must (cider), grape juice and the most exported grapes and products among agricultural products that generate foreign exchange income of approximately 750 million dollars,” he concluded…
