Hayrettin Uçak, Chairperson of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB), said that citrus and pomegranate exports exceeded 1 billion dollars
Uçak said, “While Turkey exported 852 million dollars of citrus and pomegranates in 2019, the amount of foreign exchange it obtained from citrus and pomegranate exports increased by 24 percent to 1 billion 58 million dollars in 2020.”
“On the other hand the share of the European Union in Turkey’s citrus and pomegranate exports was 164 million dollars in 2019, it went up to 202.5 million dollars in 2020,” Uçak added…
“While tangerine ranked first among citrus products with an export of 438 million dollars in 2020, 274 million dollars of foreign exchange income was obtained from lemon. Orange exports were recorded as 129 million dollars and pomegranate exports as 126 million dollars. As for grapefruit exports, it amounted to 92.5 million dollars,” Uçak concluded…
