Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan, Vice President of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB), said that a new sector could be started in salmon.
Gürdoğan said, “We send salmon as semi-finished products, that is, in other forms such as fillets. Türkiye should create its own brand and send it as a processed product at the point of value-added product so that it can be sold directly in the market. For this, we need to focus on R&D studies at the same time. Especially Black Sea Technical University (KTU) Faculty of Marine Sciences has very important duties.”
“I would like to say that we need to start a new sector in Türkiye by teaching our own people, especially women, to process with the masters there as the place where the most products are processed, especially in Vietnam,” he added…
