In the January-February period of this year, 577 thousand 463 kilograms of anchovy made exports to 18 countries, Türkiye provided 2 million 119 thousand 896 dollars in foreign currency.
Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan, Vice President of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB), said, “We were sending anchovies as sorted and now we started to send them as canned.”
While the most anchovy exports were made to Belgium with 524 thousand 936 dollars, to the United States of America with 401 thousand 109 dollars and to France with 368 thousand 287 dollars, in the same period of last year, 1 million 569 thousand 373 dollars worth of exports were made to 19 countries for 303 thousand 752 dollars.
Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan, Vice President of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB), who made statements on the subject, said that anchovies are now being exported as canned as well as sorted.
