Gülçin Güloğlu, General Manager of Güloğlu Plastic Company, was the guest of the “Impacts of Climate Change in Industry and Solutions Workshop” organized by Uşak University at the Uşak Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Güloğlu drew attention to the importance of recycling in her speech titled “Circular Economy and Recycling”.
Noting that the European Union aims to reduce carbon emissions by 50 percent by 2030, Güloğlu said, “The European Union has created the ‘Green Agreement’ roadmap.” Güloğlu also stated that the Turkish industry should act quickly in this regard and said, “Companies that implement the necessary road map will provide a great advantage in terms of both exports and growth.”
“RECYCLING OIZ SHOULD BE CREATED”
Pointing out that the main goal is to create a sustainable life cycle in every field, Güloğlu explained, “It is a sustainable cycle in terms of economy, environment and our quality of life. An integral part of this cycle is recycling. An urgent action plan should be created on recycling. In this framework, Recycling Organized Industrial Zones (OIZ) should be established in certain regions throughout Turkiye. Government incentives should be brought to recycling investments”.
“WE ARE READY TO DO THE BEST WE CAN”
Indicating that as Güloğlu Plastic Company, they act with an understanding that contributes to the recycling ecosystem in their production processes, Güloğlu added, “We do not have waste water. We do not pollute the air or soil. We contribute to the circular economy and environmental cycle by recycling our own production. We are always ready to do our best in this regard.”
