TÜİOSB DETERMINED THE ROAD MAP FOR 2022…

2022 Targets and Plans Meeting was held with the participation of company representatives who will invest in TÜİOSB, which is Turkiye’s first new generation exporter, digital and green organised industrial zone, with the aim of industry 4.0 and based on respect for the environment and people.

Making a detailed presentation about the works done and the projects planned so far, Gül Akyürek Balta, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, said, “It is extremely important to develop the agricultural industry, to produce food that is processed with high technology, that can be stored for a long time and to be a self-sufficient country in food. For our country, our TÜİOSB will be one of the most important components of this goal.”

The meeting was held at Mersin Divan Hotel where the 2022 goals and plans along with the projects to be realized by Mersin-Tarsus Agricultural Product Processing Specialized Organised Industrial Zone (TÜİOSB), which is Turkey’s first export-oriented, digital and green organized industrial zone were discussed.

TÜİOSB Chairperson Gül Akyürek Balta, who informed the investors and guests about the simultaneous completion of the infrastructure construction works and factory construction projects carried out in TÜİOSB, stated that the world agenda has focused on concepts such as global warming, effective use of resources, reduction of carbon footprint and natural resource management in recent years.

Akyürek Balta said, “With the Paris Agreement signed between 197 countries, including Turkiye, within the scope of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the joint efforts of countries are encouraged to zero their greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.”

“The European Union has clarified a roadmap that will reshape trade by implementing a carbon-free economy model from industry to agriculture, from transportation to energy, with the European Green Consensus Call against the priority risks that threaten sustainable development and the entire ecosystem,” Akyürek Balta added…
