FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLE EXPORTS MOSTLY TO RUSSIA, POLAND AND ROMANIA…

Ferhat Gürüz, Chairman of the Board of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, announced that Türkiye’s fresh fruit and vegetable exports amounted to 309.9 million dollars in February, marked by earthquake disasters.

Most exports to Russia, Poland and Romania…

Evaluating the February performance of the Turkish fresh fruit and vegetable sector according to product groups and countries, Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association Chairperson Ferhat Gürüz said, “Tomato came first in the list of products we exported the most in the second month of the year, with a 70 percent increase and a value of 76.2 million dollars.”

“Tangerine took the second place with a hike of 19 percent and a value of 64.3 million dollars and pepper with a hike of 91 percent and a value of 42.7 million dollars. The countries we export the most fresh fruits and vegetables to; Russia, Poland and Romania,” he added.

“We exported 70.5 million dollars to Russia with a rise of 21 percent, 34 million dollars to Poland with a rise of 197 percent and 32.7 million dollars to Romania with a rise of 33 percent. In February, we achieved significant increases in export volume in the Latvian, Austrian and Saudi Arabian markets,” he concluded…
