Target markets in search of diversity Far East and Southeast Asia…

Expressing that as the leader of the fresh fruit and vegetable sector, they have made important moves to further strengthen the perception of “Quality Turkish Goods” and boost market diversity on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye, Gürüz said, “We want to grow in the Far East and Southeast Asian markets and for this purpose, we undertook the national participation organisation at the Asia Fruit Logistica Fair held in Hong Kong in the first week of September. 700 companies from 42 countries participated in the Hong Kong Asia Fruit Logistica Fair, where 16 Turkish companies presented their fresh fruit and vegetable products to Far Eastern importers with the national participation organisation of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association, while we aim to increase exports from 7.5 million dollars to 100 million dollars in this region.”

“The visitor profile generally consists of fruit and vegetable producers, import-export company representatives, supermarket chain officials, wholesale and retail sales and logistics sector representatives, and we made promotions by creating a 414 square metre Türkiye pavilion at the fair. We distributed the catalogue introducing our participating companies to the visitors we hosted at our stand. Those who came to the fair to make new business contacts, find new suppliers, see new products and gather information about the market showed great interest in the Turkish pavilion,” he added.

Noting that they also benefited from the VR game designed to effectively promote Turkish fruits and vegetables at Asia Fruit Logistica, he concluded, “We added a different colour to the fair with the VR event. Visitors, who were our guests, experienced the excitement of earning points by collecting the most exported products from Türkiye such as tangerine, tomato, lemon, pepper, peach, grape, apple, orange, fig, cherry, pomegranate, apricot, grapefruit from the branch.”
