The exports of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) in October were recorded as 1 billion 243 million dollars compared to the same period of the previous year and the highest export figure of 2020 was reached on a monthly basis.
As for Turkey’s exports in October, it totalled 17 billion 333 million dollars.
Aegean Exporters’ Associations, which signed exports of 10 billion 540 million dollars in the January-October period, caught up an export figure of 12 billion 781 million dollars in the last 1 year period.
Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association has managed to bring was 29 million dollars in with 37 percent increase and became the first runner in October.
Aegean Dry Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association is in third place with an export figure of 114 million dollars.
Fresh fruit and vegetable exports rose by 13 percent to 28 million dollars, while exports of fruit and vegetable products increased by 12 percent to 75 million dollars. Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association has made a total of 103 million dollars.
The Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association boosted its exports by 20 percent, leaving October behind with 93 million dollars.
Aegean Furniture Paper and Forestry Products Exporters’ Association earned 55 million dollars of foreign exchange to Turkey.
Aegean Cereal, Pulse, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association chalked up 38 million dollars while the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters’ Association made 13 million dollars with an increase of 2 percent.
Aegean Exporters’ Associations Coordinator Jak Eskinazi said that in the 10-month period of 2020, it was recorded as the highest monthly export figure ever realized.
Eskinazi also announced that EIB’s exports to European Union countries increased by 10 percent in October, reaching 675 million dollars.
