Eskinazi: Our exports will reach 2019 figures at the end of the year
Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) realized 1 billion 223 million dollars of exports in September.
EİB had signed exports of 1 billion 158 million dollars in September 2019. EİB’s exports increased by 6 percent compared to September 2019.
Aegean Exporters’ Associations Coordinator Chairman Jak Eskinazi noted that they had a successful performance in September and that they entered the last quarter of 2020 in a good mood.
Stating that the Aegean Exporters’ Associations have reached an export figure of 4 billion 458 million dollars in the last 4 months, Eskinazi said, “When we compare it with June-July-August-September of 2019, our exports have achieved an increase rate of 10 percent and an export performance of 401 million dollars has been achieved.”
“In September, 4 associations of EİB managed to pass the 100 million dollar threshold. The first export date of dried figs was announced this year 4 days later than last year due to climatic conditions. If the first export date of dried figs were the same as last year, our Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters’ Association would have exceeded the 100 million dollars threshold,” Eskinazi added.
“We aim to maintain this line in the last quarter of 2020 and reach our export figure of 13.3 billion dollars in 2019 by the end of the year,” Eskinazi concluded…
