Coffee will not come from Yemen, but from BATEM!
The West Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute, which accelerates domestic and national coffee production activities, aims to create a brand with the slogan “Coffee comes from BATEM”.
The West Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute (BATEM), situated in Antalya province, which has accelerated its domestic and national coffee production activities that have been interrupted due to the coronavirus epidemic, aims to create a brand with the slogan “Coffee comes from BATEM”.
The button was pressed earlier this year for coffee production in Gazipaşa district of Antalya. However, coronavirus outbreak caused to delay of the coffee seed breeding species coming to Turkey. While this situation give rise to the interruption of the breeding works, the interrupted studies gained speed again.
Making a statement on the subject, BATEM Director Abdullah Ünlü said, “Coffee does not come from Yemen, it comes from BATEM”, we continue our work with this slogan. We will bring domestic and national coffee varieties to our country.”
