Yusuf Ziya Alim said, “We have already purchased over 136 thousand tons of tea in the second shoot period.”
Alim reminded that they opened the second shoot period on July 1, while they continued tea purchasing without any problem so far.
Stating that they purchased 136 thousand tons of fresh tea during the first shoot period in May, he explained:
“In return, we have paid 393 million liras to producers. In June, we received 152 thousand tons of tea. In return, the producers will be paid 440 million liras by the end of this month. Difference fees for 2019 year organic tea as 2 liras 90 kuruş and base price 5 liras 80 kuruş have been fixed. The first period of shooting in the organic difference fees will be paid until the end of this month.”
Alim voicing that they process 9 thousand tons of fresh tea per day, “Our factories are working at full capacity. Our fresh tea purchases continue smoothly. In the second period of shooting we have already purchased over 130 thousand tons of tea as of today” he added.
“We have been carrying out studies regarding dry tea sales in line with the targets we set out. We procceed the negotiations for marketing the ÇAYKUR products whether in domestic market or foreign markets. These negotiations still go on for the sale of tea especially to Pakistan” he concluded…
