The trend towards healthy, high quality and reliable food and textile products with the pandemic all over the world, the point where climate change has come, necessitates the rapid growth of the organic sector and the raise of organic awareness in the society.

Birol Celep

In the “Organic Agriculture Sector Meeting”, where all parties of the Turkish organic sector came together in Izmir, the capital of organic production, Celep made evaluations on the prominent issues, increasing the support for the organic sector and explaining it on time, as well as introducing organic lessons in schools to increase organic product consumption in Turkey.

Emphasizing the difficulty in changing the consumption habits of adult people, Celep said, “As the Turkish organic sector, we want the ‘Organic lesson’, in which the benefits of organic products will be explained to children, to be included in the curriculum in schools. We want to cooperate with the Ministry of National Education to raise organic awareness in children and demand that organic agriculture be taught in schools.”
