While Türkiye’s food exports to the USA was 924 million dollars in 2018, it increased to 1 billion 815 million dollars by the end of 2022.
Bedri Girit, Chair of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, said that Türkiye’s food exports to the USA surged from 924 million dollars in 2018 to 1 billion 815 million dollars by the end of 2022.
“As the Turkish aquaculture and animal products sector, we hiked our exports to the USA from 71 million dollars to 105 million dollars with a rise of 48 per cent in 2022,” he said.
“As the Aegean Aquaculture and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, we made a large slice of 63 million dolars of these exports, accounting for 60 percent of the country’s aquaculture and animal products exports to the USA. As the aquaculture and animal products sector, we want to boost our exports to the USA to 250 million dollars in the medium term,” he added.
“In the products we export, fish is by far the leader with 56 million dollars, while our natural honey exports are 18, 2 million dollars, dairy products exports are 11 million dollars and egg exports are 5 million dollars,” he concluded…
