Pointing out that all the actors in the market will take a position according to this attitude of the state regarding hazelnuts, “Maybe some sectoral representatives were thinking of a higher price but when considering the price of nuts compared to previous years is I would say quite well” he noted.
“We will have some contacts involving of FİSKOBİRLİK in the intervener purchasing process, as a matter of fact producers have such an expectation. In the sense of regulating the market such a decision will reflect more positively on the market. Hopefully we will have such an initiative” Bayraktar noted.
Explaining that there may be some differences between TMO (Turkish Grain Board) price and free market price, Bayraktar concluded: “This difference is important if TMO takes this task in the market as soon as possible to attract the product in a short time, a price likely to occur close the free market.”
