AGRICULTURAL LANDS TO BE LEASED TO LANDLESS FARMERS IN 6 PILOT PROVINCES!

The project of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization to lease up to 60 decares of treasury lands for 10 years for farmers who are landless or do not have enough land, will be implemented in 6 pilot provinces at the first stage.

A total of 41.5 million square metres of agricultural land in 6 provinces will be announced next week to be rented to farmers.

Along with this project, it is aimed to boost agricultural production and support agricultural employment.

In this context, the National Real Estate General Communiqué, on the lease of treasury immovables in the villages and neighbourhoods where they are registered or resident in order to ensure that farmers without land or without sufficient land can engage in agricultural activities, was published.

With the regulation, farmers who do not have enough land or landless farmers have been given the opportunity to lease up to 60 decares of treasury land for 10 years. The lease term can be extended for another 10 years at the end of 10 years.

Application starts in 6 pilot provinces…

The project will be implemented in 6 pilot provinces in the first place. A total of 41.5 million square meters of agricultural land belonging to the treasury in 6 provinces will be announced to be leased to farmers. Pilot implementation will start in 6 provinces including Samsun, Eskişehir and Afyonkarahisar and also with 27.6 million square metres in Konya, 8 million square metres in Aksaray, 3.7 million square metres in Kütahya.
