Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) achieved an export of 16 billion 325 million dollars in 2021. EIB managed to increase its exports of 13 billion 4 million dollars in 2020 by 26 percent.
The export of the Aegean Region increased by 29 pct from 21 billion 800 million dollars to 28 billion 158 million dollars. İzmir province realized 53 percent of the Aegean Region exports with an amount of 14 billion 815 million dollars.
Aegean Exporters’ Associations, which showed an export performance of 1 billion 560 million dollars with a rise of 24 percent in December, reached the highest export level in its 82-year history on a monthly basis. EIB had signed an export of 1 billion 256 million dollars in December 2020.
Breaking new records every year in the export of fresh fruit, vegetable and products, the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB) did not break the mould in 2021 as well. Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, which exceeded the threshold of 1 billion dollars for the first time with 1 billion 40 million dollars of exports in 2020, boosted its exports to 1 billion 182 million dollars in 2021 with a rise of 14 percent.
