AEGEAN FRESH FRUIT AND VEG EXPORTERS SET A TARGET OF 1.4 BILLION DOLLARS FOR 2023!

Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB), which has broken export records for 5 years in a row by delivering the flavours produced in the Aegean Region to all over the world held a press conference and came together with the Izmir economy press. EYMSİB who brought in 1 billion 250 million dollars as foreign currency to Türkiye with a hike of 6 percent in 2022, announced its 2023 targets.

Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Exporters’ Association set an export target of 1 billion 400 million dollars in the 100th year of the Republic in 2023.

The press conference was held with the participation of Hayrettin Uçak, Chairman of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, and the members of the EYMSİB Board of Directors.

Hayrettin Uçak said that 2022 was a satisfying year for the fresh fruit, vegetable and fruit and vegetable products sector.

“A total of 5.5 billion dollars was exported, 3 billion dollars of which was fresh fruit and vegetables and 2.5 billion dollars was fruit and vegetable products and 22 percent of this export, which corresponds to 1 billion 250 million dollars, was realized through our Association,” he said.

“Our Associations’s exports soared by 6 percent compared to 2021. We were especially pleased with the 12 percent increase in the fruit and vegetable products sector,” he added…
