EİB ended the pandemic in exports…
The export amount of Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) in July was recorded as 1 billion 193 million dollars with an increase of 7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
EIB’s July performance has been the most successful month in 2020 and erased the negative effects of the pandemic on exports.
Turkey’s showing a 11.5 percent surge over the previous month, while exports in July was 15 billion 12 million dollars.
Eskinazi: We completely removed the traces of the pandemic
Emphasizing that the July figure of EIB is the 2020 record on a monthly basis, the coordinator of Aegean Exporters’ Associations, Jak Eskinazi said,
“8 of our 12 Exporters’ Associations increased their exports while the other 4 Associations’ decreases remained at single digits. For us, July was a month when we completely removed the traces of the pandemic.
We exceeded 5 billion dollars in our agricultural exports in the last one-year period. Industrial products also have been revived for two months.”
“We’re seeing the return signal from the bottom with a normalization stage in incentives and export markets in the inside. This makes us hopeful for the future,” Eskinazi added.
“We have had a rise of 7 percent compared to last July while the performance of Turkey’s exports falls behind. We will spend intensive works to achieve our 15 billion dollars target in the remaining months of 2020,” Eskinazi concluded…
