Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB), which is the leader of plant product exports in the Aegean Region by exporting the flavours of Anatolia to all over the world, has doubled its exports in the last 6 years. EYMSİB set an export target of 1 billion 450 million dollars for 2024.
Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association Press Conference was held with the participation of Hayrettin Uçak, Chairman of the EYMSİB and Jak Eskinazi, Chairman of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB), Bedri Girit, Chairman of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, Cengiz Balık, Vice Chairman of the EYMSİB, Sadık Demircan, Kenan Unat, Vildan Akgedik, Members of the Board of Directors of the EYMSİB along with Ahmet Altubay, Ahmet Kaymaz, Aydın Akyüzlü and Berna Akyüzlü, Alternate Members of the Board of Directors of the EYMSİB.
Stating that they broke export records in many product groups in the 100th anniversary of the Republic and earned 1 billion 330 million dollars of foreign currency to Türkiye with an export hike of 7 percent, Hayrettin Uçak, expressed that they are happy and proud to reach the highest export level in the history of the Republic in 2023.
Speaking at the “Export Evaluation Meeting”, Uçak said, “We made a successful entry into the second century of our Republic. We set an export target of 1 billion 450 million dollars for the end of 2024.”
Underlining that 805 companies contributed to the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association’s exports of 1 billion 330 million dollars in 2023, Uçak continued his words as follows, “We started to work with great effort and excitement from the first day of the year to reach our targets. Our exports, which were 740 million dollars at the end of 2017, boosted almost 2 times by the end of 2023 and reached these levels. I would like you to know that there is a great team and teamwork behind this success. I also would like to thank our Board of Directors, Members, Committees, General Secretariat and EIB employees who have contributed greatly to this success.”
