Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) carried their exports from 815.4 million dollars in April 2020 to 1 billion 373 million 510 thousand dollars with an increase of 68 percent in April 2021. Aegean Exporters’ Associations, which have been operating for 82 years, broke the export record of the 82-year history in April.
Last month 10 of the 12 exporters’ associations within the EİB succeeded in increasing their exports, while their exports in January-April period of 2021 soared by 20 percent from 4 billion 55 million dollars to 4 billion 882 million dollars, the last 1-year export rose from 13 billion 7 million dollars to 13 billion 831 million dollars with a rise of 6 percent.
Eskinazi: “Our April performance is dazzling”
Describing their performances in April as dazzling, Jak Eskinazi, Head of Aegean Exporters’ Associations, expressed that they made Turkey live the happiness of the Ramadan Feast early.
Eskinazi pointed out that there was a sharp decrease in export figures due to the shutdowns in the world because of the pandemic in April 2020 and when the export figure of 1 billion 101 million dollars in April 2019 is taken into account, the export figures in April 2021 increased by 25 percent.
